Background
Richard Shaban is a partner and the regional leader of the Construction, Engineering, Surety and Fidelity Group in our Toronto office. Mr. Shaban was called to the Ontario Bar in 1985.
Areas of Practice
- In private practice since 1985, initially in the areas of insolvency, commercial and construction law, subsequently specializing exclusively in the area of construction law including construction contracts and project delivery methods, public infrastructure renewal, construction disputes, construction liens, construction insurance and surety bonds
Professional Experience
- Representing public authorities, hospitals, banks, owners, developers, general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and surety bonding companies, with respect to issues relating to all aspects of a construction project including the negotiation of construction contracts, tendering, construction disputes and insurance and surety related matters.
