Background
Lawrence Kwinter is a Partner at our Calgary office and his practice extends beyond the Province of Alberta. Mr. Kwinter was admitted to the Alberta Bar in 1981 having graduated from the University of Windsor Law School in 1980.

Professional Experience
- Mr. Kwinter’s retainers have included:
- Negotiating and concluding acquisitions and dispositions of real estate projects and portfolios in Alberta and British Columbia
- Advising government bodies with respect to public private partnerships with respect to resort development and advising the private sector with respect to public private partnerships in the health care field
- Drafting and negotiating major commercial leases on behalf of landlords and tenants for projects in Alberta and British Columbia
- Representing developers in obtaining land use rezoning and subdivision matters
- Negotiating and concluding acquisitions of resort projects in Calgary, Canmore and Kelowna, British Columbia
- Negotiating and finalizing, on behalf of developers, franchise and license agreements with international hotel chains for locations in Alberta and Ontario
- Acting on behalf of health care providers across the country, including advising as to corporate structure, leasing matters and as to relevant legislation
- Preparing and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements, including outsourcing agreements, financing agreements, joint venture agreements, partnership agreements and licensing agreements
- Negotiating and preparing switching facility leases, point of presence site agreements, municipal access agreements and tower agreements on behalf of telecommunication providers.
